Lapland

Lapland is a picturesque region with lots of small towns amidst an impressive scenery. Every year in wintertime it changes into the most beautiful and biggest skiresort. Lot´s of skier´s and snowboarder´s meet here.

Gällivare is situated in Swedish Lapland, "Norrbotten" is about 100 km above the Arctic Circle. Gellivare its importance has 9000 inhabitants mainly as a transportation hub for the iron ore railway Gellivare-Kiruna-Luleå-Narvik, as the endpoint of the Inland Railway and the European route 45 (Inlandsvägen) and the E10 with the corresponding bus lines. Thus, the location of the starting point for visits to the Swedish national parks Muddus, Sarek and Stora Padjelanta Sjöfallet.

Wonderful slopes under a deep blue sky enable ski-runs in the deep powder snow within a breathtaking scenery.

In spring- and summertime green forests attract a lot of people for hiking and mountain biking. Crystal clear waters call out for rafting, fishing or if you want even for - gold panning.

Ruska, the Finish autumn, treats you with a blaze of colour - bright yellow, red and orange tones. An unforgettable view.
